Terms of Use

Last updated: April 6, 2026. These Terms of Use outline your responsibilities and acceptable use of the Glamyad platform. They are designed to keep our community safe, respectful, and enjoyable for everyone.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account, browsing, or using the Glamyad platform at https://glamyad.com (the "Platform"), you agree to follow these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

These Terms of Use work alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Together, they form the rules for using Glamyad.

2. Eligibility

To use Glamyad, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher).
  • Have the legal ability to enter into a binding agreement.
  • Not have been previously banned or suspended from the Platform.

Account Types

  • Client Accounts: For individuals looking to discover and book beauty and wellness services.
  • Provider Accounts: For beauty professionals, salons, spas, and wellness practitioners who want to offer their services. Provider accounts may require additional verification such as licenses or certifications.

You may only have one account per role unless explicitly authorized by Glamyad. Sharing, selling, or transferring your account is not permitted.

3. User Responsibilities

As a Glamyad user, you are responsible for:

  • Accurate Information: Providing truthful, current, and complete information during registration and keeping your profile up to date.
  • Account Security: Keeping your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account, whether authorized by you or not.
  • Respectful Behavior: Treating Providers, Clients, and Glamyad staff with courtesy and respect at all times.
  • Timely Communication: Responding promptly to booking confirmations, messages, and any requests for information.
  • Reporting Issues: Notifying us immediately at support@glamyad.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account or any suspicious activity on the Platform.

4. Acceptable Use

What You Can Do

  • Browse, search, and discover beauty and wellness services.
  • Book appointments, manage your schedule, and communicate with Providers through the Platform.
  • Leave honest reviews and ratings based on your genuine experiences.
  • Update your profile, preferences, and notification settings.
  • Contact Glamyad support for help with any issues or questions.

What You Cannot Do

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Attempt to access, probe, or scan the Platform's systems or networks without authorization.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access or collect data from the Platform without written permission.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's functionality, servers, or other users' experience.
  • Impersonate another person, create fake accounts, or misrepresent your identity or qualifications.

5. Booking Rules

5.1 Making a Booking

  • Browse available services, select a Provider, and choose a date and time that works for you.
  • A booking is only confirmed once you receive a confirmation notification from the Platform.
  • Review the service details, pricing, and Provider policies carefully before confirming your appointment.
  • Providers may require a deposit or full prepayment. This will be clearly shown before you confirm.

5.2 Cancellation Policy

  • Free Cancellation: Cancel at no charge up to 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.
  • Late Cancellation (less than 24 hours): A fee of 25% of the total service cost applies. This compensates the Provider for the reserved time.
  • No-Show: Failing to attend without cancelling results in a charge of 50% of the total service cost.
  • Provider Cancellation: If your Provider cancels, you receive a full refund of all amounts paid, including deposits and service fees.

5.3 Refunds

  • Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5-10 business days.
  • If you believe you were charged incorrectly, contact us at support@glamyad.com within 30 days of the charge.
  • Tips paid to Providers are non-refundable.

6. Payment Terms

6.1 How Payments Work

  • All payments are processed securely through our trusted third-party payment processors.
  • Prices are displayed in Nigerian Naira (NGN) unless otherwise stated.
  • Glamyad charges a service fee for using the Platform. This fee is shown to you before you complete your booking.
  • Tips for Providers are optional and go directly to the Provider.

6.2 Provider Payment Obligations

  • Providers agree to pay all applicable commissions and service fees as determined by Glamyad.
  • Fee structures will be communicated to Providers and may be updated with reasonable notice.
  • Providers are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and financial compliance as independent contractors.
  • Payouts to Providers are processed according to the schedule agreed upon during onboarding.

7. Reviews and Feedback

Reviews help our community make informed decisions. When posting a review, please follow these guidelines:

  • Be Genuine: Only review services you have personally experienced through the Platform.
  • Be Honest: Share your genuine experience — both positive and negative — in a fair and balanced way.
  • Be Respectful: Avoid offensive, discriminatory, or defamatory language.
  • No Incentives: Providers may not offer discounts, freebies, or compensation in exchange for positive reviews.
  • Provider Responses: Providers may publicly respond to reviews. Responses must be professional and must not reveal confidential client information.

Glamyad reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these guidelines, appear fraudulent, or are the subject of a valid legal complaint.

8. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited on Glamyad. Violating these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination:

  • Fraud: Providing false information, creating fake accounts, or impersonating others.
  • Off-Platform Transactions: Attempting to bypass Glamyad's payment system by arranging payments directly with Providers or Clients for services discovered through the Platform.
  • Harassment: Threatening, intimidating, or discriminating against any user or Glamyad employee.
  • Spam: Sending unsolicited messages, advertisements, or promotional materials.
  • Malicious Activity: Uploading viruses, malware, or any harmful code.
  • Privacy Violations: Collecting or sharing other users' personal information without their consent.
  • Illegal Conduct: Using the Platform to facilitate or promote any illegal activity.
  • Scraping: Using bots, scrapers, or automated tools to extract data from the Platform without permission.

Note

Serious violations may be reported to law enforcement authorities. Glamyad cooperates fully with legal investigations.

9. Provider Guidelines

If you offer services on Glamyad, you agree to the following:

  • Valid Credentials: Maintain all required licenses, certifications, permits, and insurance for the services you offer.
  • Accurate Profiles: Keep your service descriptions, pricing, availability, and photos truthful and up to date.
  • Professional Standards: Deliver services in a competent, professional manner consistent with industry best practices.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment. Use products that are safe and properly labeled.
  • Honor Bookings: Respect confirmed appointments. If you must cancel, notify the Client promptly through the Platform.
  • Independent Contractor: You are an independent contractor, not an employee of Glamyad. You are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and legal compliance.
  • Fair Pricing: Set transparent and fair prices. Do not charge Clients amounts that differ from what is listed on your profile without their prior agreement.
  • Professional Communication: Respond to Clients promptly and professionally. Treat all Clients with respect and dignity.

Glamyad may suspend or terminate Provider accounts that consistently receive poor reviews, fail to meet these guidelines, or engage in conduct that harms the Platform's reputation.

10. Dispute Resolution

We encourage users to resolve issues amicably. Here is how to handle disputes:

10.1 Step 1 — Talk It Out

If you have an issue with a Provider or Client, try to resolve it directly through the Platform's messaging system first. Most issues can be resolved through open and respectful communication.

10.2 Step 2 — Contact Glamyad Support

If direct communication does not resolve the issue, reach out to Glamyad at support@glamyad.com. Provide details of the dispute, including booking references, messages, and any supporting evidence. We will investigate and respond within 14 business days.

10.3 Step 3 — Mediation

If the dispute remains unresolved, both parties agree to participate in good-faith mediation before a mutually agreed mediator in Lagos, Nigeria. Mediation costs are shared equally.

10.4 Step 4 — Arbitration

If mediation is unsuccessful, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the Lagos Court of Arbitration (LCA). Arbitration is conducted on an individual basis — class actions are not permitted.

10.5 Small Claims

Either party may bring a claim in small claims court, provided it is on an individual basis and not as a class action.
